Immortals Gaming Club signs three-year crypto deal with Bitstamp

Partnerships

 • Esports team organization Immortals Gaming Club has inked a three-year deal with cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp.

 • Through the deal, Bitstamp becomes the esports organization’s official cryptocurrency exchange, as well as a ‘Founding Partner’. The deal also includes collaborations on several activations, which include the launch of a content creator team called Team Bitstamp, “Immortals Invasion”, and a rewards programme for “League of Legends Championship Series” viewers. The deal could also open doors for future crypto integrations and NFT activations for Immortals.

 • The new team will handle giveaways and promotional streams related to crypto. “Immortals Invasion”, which includes content creation and in-person events, is scheduled to take place at the 2022 League of Legends World Championship in North America.

Analyst QuickTake: The intersection of esports and crypto lies in their common target audience demographics. This has led to a host of deals between esports teams and crypto companies. Significant deals of similar magnitude include Guild Esports’ three-year deal with Bitstamp, FaZe Clan’s multi-year partnership with Moonpay, Team Liquid’s four-year deal with Coinbase, Astralis’ three-year partnership with Bybit, and Team SoloMid’s 10-year USD 210 million naming rights deal with FTX.
