Nala Robotics, an AI-powered multi-cuisine robotic restaurant, has launched “Nala Marketplace,” a network of customizable robot chefs pitched toward restaurants, food chains, and other parties, facilitating the opening of their own proprietary cloud-based kitchens. It is offered on a restaurant-as-a-service basis to partnering companies.
Marketplace partners can create a virtual store by uploading recipes or menus to Nala’s database. Customers can place orders via a website or online food delivery platform, upon which the details are sent to the robot chef for preparation and delivery.

Analyst QuickTake: The news comes just over three months after Nala Robotics first opened its own restaurant in Naperville, Illinois. Furthermore, its peer Kitchen Robotics launched its multi-cuisine robotic kiosk in August 2020, which is also pitched toward cloud kitchens, while a similar food bowl kiosk developer Karakuri unveiled its robot in December 2020 and announced its first large-scale deployment last September.
