Serve Robotics receives USD 10 million from Nvidia

Funding

 • Serve Robotics, a spin-off from Uber that operates delivery droids, has received USD 10 million from Nvidia—its first investment in a droid company. This brings Serve Robotic’s total funds raised to USD 23 million.

 • The investment comes as part of a long-term collaboration between the two companies to further enhance their robotic solutions.

 • Serve Robotics intends to use the funds to expand into new markets beyond Los Angeles and San Francisco—where the company currently operates.

Analyst QuickTake: Serve Robotics is already working with Nvidia for its delivery droids. In fact, its fully autonomous robots (launched earlier this year) feature AI-based computing, perception, and mapping tools from Nvidia to detect the surroundings in real time. Furthermore, today’s investment comes just three months after the company announced raising USD 13 million in seed funding primarily for product commercialization, market expansion, and product development.
