ZeroAvia, a hydrogen-based aviation solutions developer, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ZEV Station, a hydrogen fueling provider, to develop a hydrogen refueling system for California airports.
Under the agreement, ZeroAvia will integrate its R&D in hydrogen production and refueling with ZEV Station’s expertise in distributing hydrogen for road vehicles.
ZeroAvia plans to support flight-testing of its hydrogen-electric aircraft through the new hydrogen refueling system.
<ul><li> Analyst QuickTake: Most of ZeroAvia’s recent partnerships were aimed at improving its aircraft technology. These include partnerships with Hyzon , De Havilland Canada , ASL Aviation , and Alaska Airlines . The partnership with ZEV Station is the company’s first with a hydrogen distributor. Such collaborations with downstream players are an indication that the company is moving closer to commercialization. ZeroAvia plans to launch its first passenger flight in 2024.</ul>
