mmhmm is a video presentation app that allows users to appear on-screen alongside their slides or other content, providing a more engaging experience for virtual meetings and presentations. It integrates with popular video conferencing platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. 

One of mmhmm's standout capabilities is the "slides-over-the-shoulder" look, where the presenter's video feed is displayed alongside the shared content. This setup enables the audience to see the presenter's expressions and energy while simultaneously viewing the presentation materials. Additionally, mmhmm allows users to pre-set slides and screen shares in advance, eliminating the need to fumble with controls during a live presentation.

mmhmm offers a user-friendly interface and works across various platforms, including Mac, PC, and web browsers. In addition to live presentations, mmhmm encourages the creation of asynchronous video content. Users can record high-quality videos, incorporating slides and other media, to share information with their teams or audiences. 

In October 2020, Mmhmm acquired Memix, to add enhanced filters to its video presentation toolkit. In November 2021, the company acquired Macro, a company that has created filters, reactions and tools to take the pressure off of virtual meetings. 

Funding and financials

In July 2021, Mmhmm raised USD 100 million in a Series B round led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2, with the participation of Sequoia Capital, Mubadala Capital, and World Innovation Lab. The round comes a year after launching in private beta and brings total funding to USD 140 million. The funds were allocated toward product development, and company expansion.
