TiNDLE Foods (formerly Next Gen Foods) is a Singaporean plant-based alternatives startup. The company first ventured into the plant-based dairy space with its acquisition of Mwah! , a London-based startup that develops plant-based dairy-free ice cream. With this acquisition, TiNDLE Foods planned to leverage the capabilities and expertise of Mwah! to launch a range of plant-based milk products and gelatos. In September 2022, the company launched its new headquarters and R&D innovation center in Chicago in line with its US expansion plans.
In March 2024, the company announced plans to launch TiNDLE Barista Oat Milk. This was created in collaboration with world-class baristas and claims to offer steaming, frothing, and blending qualities akin to traditional dairy.
Funding and financials
TiNDLE Foods’ most recent funding round was In February 2022, when it raised USD 100 million in Series A funding backed by existing (Temasek’s Asia Sustainable Foods Platform, GGV Capital, K3 Ventures) and new (EDBI, Alpha JWC Ventures, MLP Ventures) investors. The funds were to be used on its Singapore R&D center, set to open later in 2022, and to expedite its expansion in the US.
