Linus Health offers a plug-and-play solution for the early detection, treatment, and prevention of cognitive health issues using its “DCTclock” FDA-registered technology. The solution is a spin-off from Lahey Hospital & Medical Center and MIT as a medical device for cognitive assessments deployed using built-in sensors and AI-based analysis. The technology allows care professionals to monitor seniors’ brain health remotely outside clinical settings.
In July 2021, the company stated that its technology was proven effective in detecting early signs of Alzheimer’s disease in research conducted by Massachusetts General Hospital. A more in-depth study is to be carried out by the Global Alzheimer’s Platform Foundation.
Also in July, the company raised USD 55 million in Series B funding from existing investors with Morningside Ventures. The company earmarked the funds to expand its team of 30 and further develop its cognitive screening platform.
In March 2022, the company acquired physical function assessment startup Kinesis Health Technologies which will operate as a subsidiary of Linus Health. Linus Health plans to refine and offer more holistic and proactive health screening services via the acquisition.
