Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktiengesellschaft or BMW AG (ETR: BMW) is the parent company of the BMW Group. The German luxury automobile and motorcycle manufacturer owns the BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce, and BMW Motorrad brands. BMW was ranked fifth among global automakers in terms of revenue in 2024, having generated EUR 155.5 billion (USD 168.4 billion).
BMW’s automobiles fall under premium and luxury vehicle categories and include premium compact class, premium mid-size class, and ultra-luxury class vehicles. It also offers a range of financial and mobility services. In 2023, BMW sold over 2.5 million automobiles globally, out of which ~22% (565,875 units) were electrified models (which included both BEV and PHEVs).
BMW expects its total automobile deliveries for 2024 to be slightly higher than 2023 level, while the EBIT margin was estimated to be between 8% and 10%. The company also plans on delivering ~10 million all-electric vehicles to customers by 2030 and intends to reach net zero emissions across its entire value chain by 2050.
