Allianz Group (ETR: ALV) is an integrated insurance and financial services provider based in Germany. The company served 125 million private and corporate customers in nearly 70 countries as of 2023. Allianz is one of the world’s largest investors , managing around EUR 737 billion on behalf of its insurance customers and about EUR 1.7 trillion of third-party assets. Allianz generated total revenue of EUR 161.7 billion (~USD 174.8 billion) in 2023, and it has been listed on the Berlin stock exchange since 1895.
Allianz offers a wide range of services through its four business segments: Property-Casualty Insurance, Life/Health Insurance, Asset Management, and Corporate and Other activities. The Property-Casualty business segment includes motor, accident, property, general ability, travel insurances, and assistance services. The Life/Health business segment offers savings and investment-oriented products in addition to life and health insurance. The Asset Management business segment covers a wide range of equity, fixed income, cash, multi-asset products, and alternative investment products.
German-speaking Countries, Central & Eastern Europe is Allianz’s largest regional market (accounting for ~30% of its total revenue in 2023), followed by Western & Southern Europe (~27%) and Anglo Markets (Global Insurance Lines), Iberia & Latin America, and the Middle East and Africa (~21%). Over 2022–2024, Allianz has set a target to achieve an EPS CAGR of 5%–7% and generate EUR 12 billion of excess capital through its operational plans. In addition, Allianz expects to reach net-zero emission status from its own operations by 2030.
