Vegan Junk Food Bar (VJFB) is a Dutch fast-food chain that serves 100% plant-based options at its locations. Its first restaurant opened in 2017, followed by four more outlets in the Netherlands.
The company increased its global footprint by opening up locations in Spain in November 2020 and in Germany in August 2022 . The company stated that more locations would be launched in all three countries with further expansion into additional European countries. The menu is consistent across all locations and features plant-based burgers, seafood, ribs, nachos, and pizza, with slight variations depending on the country.
VJFB also sells products through Vegan Zeastar and Beastie Plants brands. Vegan Zeastar offers plant-based seafood items such as No Salmon Sashimi, No Tuna Sashimi, Shrimpz, Kalamariz, Tasty Codd, and No Tuna Flakes. Beastie Plants’ portfolio includes plant-based meat items including Beastie Burgah, Crispy Chik’n Wings, Kroquette Burgah, Shawarma, Vegan Bacon, and Betterball. In August 2023 , Vegan Zeastar launched what it claims to be the world’s first vegan king crab (King No Crab) to offer an affordable alternative amidst rising king crab prices.
In October 2024, Vegan Zeastar launched a new line of plant-based sushi rolls, available in the Oshi No Salmon, Spicy No Tuna, and No Salmon Asparagus flavors.
