 Shopic, an Israel-based smart cart solutions provider, is piloting smart carts at a French store in Provins, in collaboration with digital consultancy Capgemini and retailer Intermarché. 
 The partnership will introduce AI-powered clip-on devices for shopping carts that can detect items automatically, display loyalty points, track budgets in real time, and show promotions. The goal is to simplify the checkout process for consumers. Future plans include the integration of retail media features for personalized advertising, including supplier offers and advertisements throughout the shopping experience.
