Climeworks, a Swiss direct air capture (DAC) startup, has partnered with La Prairie, a Swiss-based luxury skincare provider, for the removal of carbon emissions.
Under the agreement, La Prairie aims to remove CO2 created from the production of its White Caviar Illuminating Essence, a body lotion to improve skin freshness and shimmer, by utilizing Climeworks' proprietary DAC technology.
La Prairie customers who purchase the newly launched body lotion on-site at the Sanya International Duty-Free Shopping Complex in Haitang Bay, Hainan, China, will be provided an e-certificate for their contribution to funding the removal of CO2.
