Einride, a Swedish tech developer for autonomous and electric trucks, has expanded its partnership with Swedish food company Oatly to electrify Oatly’s North American fleet.
Five Einride electric trucks, together with charging infrastructure and connected services, will be deployed over the next year to deliver goods from Oatly’s plants in Ogden (Utah) and Millville (New Jersey) to nearby recycling and packaging partners.

Analyst QuickTake: Einride and Oatly first partnered back in 2020 to deploy electric trucks to haul goods between the latter’s facilities and warehouse partners in Sweden. We believe the US deployments announced today will be facilitated by the BYD battery-electric trucks, which Einride ordered earlier this year to be retrofitted with Einride’s operating software. Other Einride’s partners in the US include home appliance manufacturer GE Appliances ( October 2021) and Maersk (March 2022) , with whom the company is collaborating to deploy its autonomous and electric trucks, respectively.
