THIS launches plant-based ready meals

Product updates

  • THIS, a UK-based producer of plant-based meats, entered its fourth category with the launch of plant-based ready meals at Tesco outlets nationwide.

  • The range includes “this isn’t pork meatballs & spaghetti,” “this isn’t chicken Thai green curry,” and “this isn’t pork sausage & mash.” According to the company, this new range is targeted at meat reducers below the age of 35 consuming ready-made meals rather than vegans or vegetarians.

  • AnalystQuickTake: THIS is on a rapid expansion track of its portfolio in 2022. Most recently, the company launched its first-ever plant-based beef products . The company also launched a new range of frozen products in June 2022 and partnered with 230-year-old UK retailer WH Smith to launch a range of sandwiches and snacking pots in July 2022.
