California-based Impossible Foods’ founder and chief visionary officer (CVO), Pat Brown, announced his stepping down from his role to launch a new research venture within the company, focused on “transformative innovation” to further aid the company in achieving its mission.
While a replacement for Pat Brown’s role has not been selected yet, the company has stated the change in leadership was a planned decision. Further, the new advanced research venture is to operate as an addition to Impossible’s current R&D team and will not supersede it.
Analyst QuickTake : In March 2022 , Pat Brown stepped down as CEO and continued as the CVO and director of the board to focus more on strategy and innovation. Impossible Foods launched many innovative products this year, including a new range of frozen meals , chicken patties , new options for school lunches (pre-cooked impossible burger patty and a plant-based whole grain nugget), sausage links, breakfast patties, chicken nuggets , and kid-sized burgers during the year.
