Estonian company Clevon (formerly Cleveron Mobility), a spin-off from Cleveron that provides ADVs for last-mile delivery, has extended its partnership with IKI, a Lithuania-based grocery chain owned by REWE Group, to deploy autonomous delivery vehicles (ADVs) for grocery deliveries in the Zverynas district, Senamiestyje, and Naujamiestyje areas in Lithuania.
The delivery service will be operated by Lithuanian product delivery startup LastMile.
The companies first partnered in June 2023 to offer ADV-based deliveries in the Vilnius city center area in Lithuania. So far, the month-long program has been successful, with no safety incidents and positive customer feedback. The deliveries have averaged a 1.1-mile distance and 22 lbs per order.
Analyst QuickTake: Today's extended partnership is evidence of Clevon's successful deployment of ADVs and will enhance Clevon's operational capabilities in the European market. The company has also joined forces with companies such as DPD, DHL Express Estonia, and Colruyt Group for various delivery pilots in Estonia, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
