Zipline, a drone-based delivery services provider, has partnered with Los Angeles-based sandwich chain Mendocino Farms to offer drone-based food deliveries for the latter's customers at a few selected restaurants by 2025.
The initial steps will involve installing the loading docks and integrating Zipline’s service with Mendocino Farms' ordering channels and POS system. Delivery charges are not yet revealed.
The companies intend to utilize Zipline’s latest drone delivery system, “P2,” for the purpose.
Analyst QuickTake: Mendocino Farms now joins the growing list of Zipline’s partners to have joined forces to use its P2 drone-based delivery system. The list includes OhioHealth, GNC, Pagliacci, Associated Couriers, Sweetgreen, Michigan Medicine, MultiCare Health Systems, Intermountain Health, and the government of Rwanda.
