Upstream Security launches ‘Ocean AI’ for enhanced IoT-enabled vehicle security

Product updates

  • Upstream Security, an Israeli startup that provides a cloud-based centralized cybersecurity and analytics platform for vehicles, has introduced "Ocean AI," an advanced GenAI technology integrated into its M-XDR mobility detection and response platform. This technology facilitates the analysis and management of extensive cyber data and alerts, enhancing cybersecurity for connected vehicles.

  • Ocean AI’s key capabilities include processing natural language questions to generate solutions from the data sets analyzed by Upstream’s M-XDR. It consolidates manifold data sources displaying a comprehensive view, utilizing advanced GenAI analytic systems designed to enhance vehicle security operations centers (SOCs). Additionally, Ocean AI feeds off Upstream’s digital twin, which provides real-time information about an asset’s condition, offering ease in accessing external data sources and potential threats.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Like others, the automotive industry has also witnessed an increasing discourse on the possibilities of incorporating GenAI technologies. Automakers and auto part manufacturers, including Peugeot, General Motors, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Continental, and Bosch , have collaborated with various GenAI tech providers to enhance their offerings with the tech. We believe the implementation of GenAI techniques in cybersecurity will also help teams to understand and counteract cyber risks and threats swiftly and effectively.
