Meatable, a Dutch cultivated meat company, has announced its CEO Krijn de Nood will step down, effective June 17. He will be succeeded by beef industry veteran Jeff "Trip" Tripician.
Meatable's announcement highlights its focus on US expansion under Tripician's leadership and coincides with its anticipated commercial launch in Singapore later this year.
Tripician has over 30 years of comprehensive experience in the food and beverage industry, specifically in scaling brands. Before joining Meatable, he was the CEO of Grass Fed Farms and president of Perdue Premium Meat Company. His extensive background lies in supply chain operations, marketing sustainable meat products, fundraising, and mergers and acquisitions.
Analyst QuickTake: This change in leadership comes at a crucial time for the company, as it gears up for its first commercial launch. Over the last 12 months, the company had several milestone events, including its USD 35 million funding round, the first approved cultivated meat tasting event in the EU, and the reduction of cultivated meat production time frame to four days .
