The Vegetarian Butches launches spicy vegan schnitzel in Germany

  • The Vegetarian Butcher, a Unilever subsidiary, has launched Pepperfect Chick'n, a spicy vegan schnitzel alternative in Germany. This launch aims to capitalize on an increasing trend toward US spicy chicken varieties like Southern fried chicken.

  • The Pepperfect Chick’n features a black pepper and paprika-flavored crispy vegan coating. Further, it is made from soy proteins and contains Vitamin B12 to enhance its nutritional value.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Vegetarian Butcher has launched several innovative products, including NoBacon 2.0 and plant-based kebab skewers , over the past year. It also recently partnered with plant-based egg company The EVERY Co to improve the texture and nutrition of its plant-based meat alternative products.
