Amazon opens Just Walk Out-powered Amazon Go store in Washington

  • Amazon has opened a new Amazon Go store powered by Just Walk Out technology in Bellevue, Washington. The store offers a variety of items, including breakfast, lunch, snacks, alcohol, and baked goods, and highlights products from local vendors, including Macrina Bakery, Molly's Salads, and Alki Bakery.

  • As of July 2024, Amazon operates 22 Amazon Go stores in the US.

  • Analyst Quick Take: Despite its recent decision to remove Just Walk Out technology from its US-based Amazon Fresh grocery store locations, Amazon will continue to deploy the technology at Amazon Go stores and select Amazon Fresh locations in the UK. The company has also been steadily deploying the technology at third-party store locations such as sports and entertainment venues and airports .
