Miso Robotics, a kitchen automation company, has partnered with restaurant company Jack in the Box to pilot its burger-making robot “Flippy 2” and beverage dispensing robot “Sippy.”
The units will first be deployed at one of the national restaurant chain’s standalone locations, with plans to expand in the coming months.
Today, the company also revealed its plans to ramp up production to make “hundreds of robots” per month by the end of the year (vs. current production levels of around a dozen robots a month).

Analyst QuickTake: The company unveiled its latest burger-flipping robot Flippy 2 in November and announced the development of Sippy in June 2021. Jack in the Box is the second company to install Miso Robotics’ Flippy 2 and the first to deploy Sippy. Earlier this year, Miso Robotics extended its collaboration with hamburger chain White Castle to deploy Flippy 2 and announced another partnership with bakery-cafe chain Panera Bread earlier this month to test Miso Robotics’ latest product line “CookRight Coffee,” a coffee monitoring system.
