Notion is a productivity and collaboration tool that combines note-taking, knowledge management, project management, and task tracking capabilities into an all-in-one workspace. It allows users to create custom pages, databases, wikis, kanban boards, and more to organize their work, documents, and ideas in a flexible manner. It also has an integrated AI assistant that answers queries, helps to write and brainstorm, and autofills tables. In February 2024, Notion acquired Skiff, a privacy-focused email and productivity suite, to integrate email capabilities into Notion's platform. And In June 2022, Notion acquired Cron, a next-generation calendar app. Cron's technology was integrated into Notion's platform, launching as Notion's built-in calendar app in January 2024. Notion announced the acquisition of the workflow automation startup Automate.io in September 2021.

Funding and Financials
In October 2021, Notion raised USD 275 million in a funding round led by Sequoia Capital and Coatue, bringing the total funding to USD 343 million approximately. The funds were used to expand its installed base, and invest in initiatives related to customer experience and success.
In April 2020, the company raised $50 million in a funding round led by Index Ventures. And previously it had raised USD 10 million in July 2019.
