Founded in Australia, Rokt provides solutions to drive new monetization and advertising opportunities on ecommerce platforms. Using its proprietary technology, Rokt can apply deep learning to analyze customer behavior on ecommerce platforms (across activities such as purchase review, sales checkout, and payment and confirmation pages of an ecommerce website). It automatically suggests relevant internal and third-party advertisements to customers to create a personalized experience. Rokt also offers lead generation service Rokt Ads.
In May 2023, the firm announced the launch of Rokt Payments Marketplace, which enables ecommerce businesses to generate additional revenue on their payment pages.
The company claims to have one of the widest reaches, with access to more than 30 million businesses (as of September 2021) of various sizes. In September 2021, marketers reported an average 14% boost to opt-in rates.
In January 2024, the firm announced that it has agreed to acquire AfterSell, which provides upselling and cross-selling support for ecommerce merchants on Shopify, to boost sales through AI-powered upselling technology.

Funding and financials
In December 2022, the firm raised an undisclosed amount in a secondary transaction where it received a valuation of USD 2.4 billion. This is compared with a valuation of USD 1.95 billion it received one year back during its Series E fundraising round where it raised USD 325 million. The firm is reportedly preparing for a potential IPO in 2023.
In 2020, the firm recorded a revenue of USD 100 million and the firm claims to be on track to achieve USD 230 million in revenue in 2021.
