OnePointOne develops aeroponics growing systems for its clients. The company states that its growing system is very efficient as it uses high-pressure nutrient spray, artificial intelligence, LED lighting, and controlled atmospheric environment.OnePointOne’s vertical farms use 99% less water when compared to traditional outdoor farms and are 100% free of pesticides and chemicals. 

The company also supplies the growing system to a farm operated by a sister company, Willo. Willo sells its products directly to consumers under a monthly subscription plan, where customers have direct access to the farm through its mobile app, selecting crops they like, tracking and monitoring its growth until it is delivered to their doorstep. Willo is currently developing its second farm to accommodate the strong demand for its products.

Key customers and partnerships

To maximize plant output via vertical farming, the company partnered with  Sakata Seed Corporation (May 2021); to expand its product offering and grow beyond leafy greens, the company partnered with California Giant Berry Farms, a California-based berry producer—to introduce vertically produced strawberries to the market. In May 2023, the company partnered with Vertical Green Farming to represent OnePointOne in Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas as its first value-added reseller (VAR). In February 2023, The company also partnered with indoor farming brokerage Cultivatd’s indoor farming technology and services platform to address the rising demand for large-scale commercial, investment, and research-based indoor farming projects. 

OnePointOne announced IMEX Organics as its first customer for its “Opollo 3” strawberry vertical farms (April 2022), where the company will build 3 farms initially for the latter and has committed to build 12 more across the US, Europe and Asia.  In June 2021, the company announced plans to build a 50,000 sq. ft. facility and relocate its operations to Avondale 107th Industrial Park. The vertical farm will be the main production facility for Willo, with plans to unveil the facility in April 2022.
