UBQ Materials, an Israeli company that develops bio-based thermoplastic materials, has expanded its partnership with Arcos Dorados, the world's largest independent McDonald's franchisee, to include UBQ's materials in electrical conduits, connection boxes, and modular wood boards.
Arcos Dorados is reportedly the first UBQ partner to use building components made with UBQ (UBQ Material’s bio-based thermoplastic material).
UBQ Materials has worked with Tigre, Latin America's largest pipe manufacturer, for the production of electrical conduit and junction boxes, and Madeplast, a Brazilian manufacturer, for the modular wood panels for restaurant bench structures.
Analyst QuickTake: UBQ Materials has been working with Arcos Dorados since 2019, successfully integrating “UBQ” into serving trays at McDonald's restaurants in Brazil and the Caribbean in January 2021.
