Appian partners with AWS to integrate GenAI into process automation platform

Partnerships

  • Appian, a workflow automation platform, has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to develop new GenAI-powered workflow automation solutions for its platform.

  • The partnership will enable Appian to combine its own in-built AI capabilities and data fabric with LLMs and machine-learning services offered by Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker. Appian users will be able to host LLMs while ensuring compliance and data security and create, train, and fine-tune proprietary AI models using their own data.

  • Analyst QuickTake: GenAI has become a prominent tech trend within the workflow automation space, with Appian joining a long list of leading players who have released their own GenAI features to their platforms within the past month. This includes 1) Nintex , which launched new GenAI-powered tools for its platform, 2) UiPath , which launched a series of new features including context grounding and proprietary LLMs, 2) Zapier , which launched a chatbot building tool , and 3) Pegasystems , which launched its own solution for users to generate application blueprints.
