Nintex announces AI-powered upgrades for business process automation platform

  • Nintex, a workflow automation platform provider, has released a series of new AI-enhanced features for its flagship platform. These features aim to reduce the time users spend documenting, managing, and automating business processes.

  • The upgrades include 1) Process Capture, which automatically generates process maps using AI-based text prompts; 2) the ability to import from Microsoft Visio to create Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) models; 3) a Workflow Generator, which creates workflows using simple text descriptions; and 4) Data Tables, a native repository for process-related data.

  • Furthermore, the company unveiled a new Chatbot Builder, which enables users to create their own chatbots using their OpenAI models. These bots can support a range of use cases, including customer support, service, status requests, and sales inquiries.

  • Analyst QuickTake: GenAI has become a prominent tech trend within the workflow automation space, with several leading players making strides within the past few months. This includes 1) Zendesk, which launched an AI agent solution for customer service automation; 2) Appian , which partnered with AWS to integrate GenAI into its process automation platform; 3) UiPath , which partnered with Microsoft to integrate its platform into Microsoft Copilot, and 4) Zapier , which launched a chatbot-building tool . Moreover, this integration marks Nintex's second GenAI-related development since it launched GenAI-powered tools on its platform in March.
