Bloomreach is a marketing cloud, specialized for both B2B and B2C retail and ecommerce brands. The features of its experience cloud include, 1) a customer data platform (CDP), 2) search engine optimization (SEO) tools, 3) content discovery & management system, and 4) customer insights and personalization tools. With the firm's acquisition of its strategic partner, Exponea, in January 2021, the firm added multichannel campaign automation capabilities to its platform, which include email, SMS, Whatsapp and mobile & web notifications. With this acquisition, Bloomreach claims to offer the only end-to-end marketing cloud solution specialized for ecommerce.  As of end 2021, the firms platform was used by 1,100+ brands, powering 25% of all US & UK ecommerce experiences amounting to more than USD 200 billion worth of digital transactions. Its users include Puma, Staples, Bosch, Staples, and Neiman Marcus. 

In March 2023, the firm launched the Bloomreach Content marketplace, which serves as an online hub for developers to search and install integrations specifically designed for Bloomreach Content. In August 2023, Bloomreach launched Clarity, which is designed to provide personalized, human-like product expertise to online shoppers. In May 2024, the company launched Omniconnect, which allows businesses to integrate data from third-party platforms directly into their Bloomreach engagement.

In January 2024, the firm acquired Radiance Commerce, a firm specializing in conversational commerce through GenAI,  to enhance Clarity's ecommerce capabilities and make the solution accessible to businesses worldwide.

The firm’s platform can also be integrated with leading ecommerce platforms and ERP systems, including Shopify, Bigcommerce, Salesforce, and SAP to extend its capabilities. In October 2022, the firm introduced plug-and-play integrations with leading front-end eCommerce sites while also providing access to 50+ out-of-the-box plug-and-play campaign solutions, enabling users to execute personalized marketing campaigns across 13 channels. In addition, the firm also offers a range of professional services, including SEO analysis and optimization.

Key customers and partnerships

In June 2023, the firm partnered with Contentsquare, a digital experience intelligence and analytics platform, to help marketers build targeted campaigns for customers driven by data insights. In December 2023, the firm partnered with Spryker, a composable commerce platform provider, to improve digital and marketplace experiences in ecommerce. In April 2024, the firm partnered with Google Cloud to boost Bloomreach Discovery, an AI-driven search and merchandising tool for ecommerce businesses.

Funding and Financials 

In October 2022, Bloomreach secured a USD 30 million three-year credit facility with J.P. Morgan which includes a debt accordion enabling Bloomreach to borrow upto an additional USD 130 million. The credit facility is expected to further strengthen its financial position and drive the geographical expansion of its commerce marketing solutions. Prior to that, Bloomreach raised USD 175 million in Series F funding in February 2022 and reached unicorn status with a valuation of USD 2.2 billion. 

The firm surpassed USD 150 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by the end of 2022 driven by growth in its solutions for ecommerce brands.
