Founded in 2016 in Toronto, Canada, Tenstorrent has expanded its operations with offices in the US, Japan, and other global locations. The company offers a range of products including AI processors, RISC-V CPU cores, and chiplets designed for various applications from edge devices to data centers.
Tenstorrent's product line includes the Grayskull processor, announced in 2020, which was designed to accelerate AI model training in data centers and edge servers. The company has since shifted its focus to licensing and services, launching DevCloud in 2021, a cloud-based service allowing developers to run AI models without purchasing hardware. Tenstorrent's latest offering, the Wormhole processor, was unveiled in July 2024.
