Revo Foods, formerly known as Legendary Vish, produces 3D-printed plant-based seafood. In March 2021, the company hosted a public tasting event for its 3D-printed plant-based seafood, which it claimed was a first in the world. According to the company, its 3D-printing technology can create complex whole-cut structures such as fillets for seafood alternatives. In February 2024, it introduced the Food Fabricator X2 (FFX2), a brand-new 3D food printer featuring a unique multi-nozzle system and a high-precision extrusion system, capable of industrial-scale production.
In March 2024, Revo Foods launched what it claims to be the first vegan octopus alternative, THE KRAKEN. Made from mycoprotein, it uses a unique 3D structuring approach in production and claims to offer the aroma, taste, and texture of real octopus meat.
Revo Foods portfolio includes 3D-printed plant-based salmon filets, smoked salmon, gravlax, and tuna spreads available in 1,400+ locations across 14 countries. In September 2023, the company launched its 3D-printed whole-cut salmon filet in Rewe Group's vegan store, Billa Pflanzilla. According to the company, this is the first 3D-printed alternative meat to launch into retail. In May 2024, the company launched version 2.0 of its smoked salmon slices, SMOKEY SLICES, featuring an optimized recipe.
In September 2024, Revo Foods established the TASTE FACTORY in Vienna, which it claimed was the world's largest 3D food-printing facility, with a monthly production capacity of 60 tons. The facility utilizes Revo Foods' own 3D Structural technology, and its first product is expected to be THE FILET, a mycoprotein-based salmon alternative.
