Shanghai, China-based EHang specializes in autonomous aerial vehicles (AAVs) for urban air mobility and related applications like logistics, city management, and aerial media. Its flagship EH216-S is an electric dual-seat passenger AAV with autonomous flight capabilities, offering a 30 km range, 100 km/h cruising speed, and a payload capacity of 220 kg. In April 2024, EHang received a production certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) for the EH216-S. The series also includes specialized models like the EH216-F for firefighting and EH216-L for logistics.
In 2024, EHang demonstrated its growing presence with various test and commercial flights globally. Key milestones included the first commercial demonstrations in China (December 2023), a debut flight in Mecca (June 2024), passenger-carrying demonstrations in Wencheng, China (July 2024), and a debut passenger flight in Thailand (November 2024). In Brazil, the EH216-S received an Experimental Flight Authorization from ANAC, with the first test flight conducted in September 2024.
EHang’s VT series (VT-10, VT-20, VT-30) combines vertical takeoff with fixed-wing efficiency, offering extended range. The company also develops non-passenger aircraft, such as the Falcon B and GD Series. In November 2024, EHang advanced its EH216-S with solid-state lithium battery-powered test flights, expanding its technological capabilities.

Ehang has customers and partners worldwide, including DHL, Austrian Red Cross, Azerbaijan Airlines, Vodafone, Globalvia, Ambular, and Aeroports de Catalunya.
In March 2023, EHang partnered with AirX and Tsukuba Airlines to establish Japan's first UAM center for 25 EH216-S aircraft. By December 2023, the first EH216-S was delivered to ETON for deployment at the Jiulong Lake site. In April 2024, EHang joined Multi-Level Group and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office to advance eVTOL infrastructure in the UAE and also teamed up with Greater Bay Technology to develop ultra-fast charging solutions. In November 2024, EHang collaborated with Enpower to enhance its eVTOL electric motor systems.
EHang expanded its vertiport development and operational footprint in July 2024 by signing an MoU with China Southern Airlines General Aviation Company (CSGAC) to set up demonstration sites for low-altitude tourism in Guangdong Province, including destinations like Zhuhai Jiuzhou Airport. In November 2024, EHang partnered with Vertiports Network to establish urban air mobility infrastructure across Europe and Sunriver to expand aerial tourism services in China.
For passenger services and regional expansion, EHang partnered with Wencheng County in June 2024, resulting in the purchase of 30 EH216-S units for low-altitude operations in Zhejiang Province. In July 2024, the company reached an agreement with KC Smart Mobility to deploy EH216-S aircraft in Hong Kong, Macau, and parts of Hubei Province. Additionally, in October 2024, EHang collaborated with the Civil Aviation Flight University of China (CAFUC) to establish training programs for its pilotless eVTOL operations.
